Can an arbitral award be appealed?

An award is not subject to ordinary appeal. It can only be challenged by an action to set aside on an exhaustive list of grounds, such as the absence of an arbitration agreement, the arbitrator exceeding their mandate, or a breach of the right of defence. The scope is deliberately narrow to preserve finality.
